As you may have already noticed . . . this blog has fallen to the wayside. EAJ is busy working full time at an architecture firm and taking classes at night and CVM doesn’t think it’s fair to make the blog a priority (“stop building that modle for your final project! You need to write about Bean Boots on the blog!” wouldn’t be very nice). CVM on the other hand has decided to create a new blog (don’t worry, EAJ will be a contributor when he is free)! So go ahead and check out N’East Style and let CVM know what you think – always open to comments and suggestions. All the best, and hopefully someday Meet Cute will be reincarnated.

Cabin Fever!

The 1st Annual Cabin Fever Indie Gift Show is this weekend in the South End! Similar to the SoWa markets during the summer, this event will host crafts and goodies from 60 local artists and designers. Perfect selection for picking out a unique Valentine’s gift for that special someone, be it handmade chocolate, a groovy print, smelly soaps or a fancy piece of jewelry.

Dad and British Sports Cars

My dad has always had a passion for all things British, especially their sports cars. So lucky us, we’ve had quite a few transition in and out of our lives and driveway. Here is a pic of his Jaguar XK120. I think it was taken at the Hildene Car Show in our hometown Manchester, VT (permanently marked on the family calendar). As dad is an Episcopalian Rev., he likes to call it Clergy black with a Cardinal red interior, unfortunately you can’t see the nice red leather seats in this pic. I love the Maine license plate (we have a lake house there) and yes Smaug is the dragon from The Hobbit.

Last SoWa of the season!

Today was the last SoWa market of the season and it was the best one to date that I have been to. I was unprepared for the Halloween theme and ample number of gorey over the top costumes, but was pleasantly surprised by the added festiveness it added to the market. The sun was shining, kids were running around in fairy and skeleton costumes, and there was a plethora of awesome crafts and antiques. I had my heart set on a beautiful blue hand dyed cotton scarf from Tibet but didn’t have the cash on me, sniff. I hope that booth will be back next year!
